Christoph Sonntag brings Swabian humor to Bad Rappenau with AZNZ 2.0

On Friday, November 13, 2026, the Bad Rappenau spa house will turn into a stage for pointed societal criticism, Swabian charm, and a laugh experience filled with tremendous stage energy. Christoph Sonntag presents his program AZNZ 2.0 and guides the audience through a world where old times suddenly feel remarkably new again.

Old Times, New Punchlines

With AZNZ 2.0, Christoph Sonntag builds on his successful cult comedy AZ-NZ – Old Times, New Times. The program combines stand-up, cabaret, sharp-tongued word acrobatics, and musical interludes. From the perspective of yesterday, a humorous commentary on the present emerges - Swabian precise, direct, and with a cheekiness that rarely beats around the bush.

When Social Criticism Meets Wit

Sonntag masters the play with language as well as spontaneous interaction with the audience. His punchlines hit their mark, the timing remains razor-sharp, and the audience reaction is an integral part of the comedy atmosphere. Between political satire, everyday scenes, and regional wit, a cabaret show emerges that not only produces laughter but also leaves the audience with a thought or two to take home.

Grand Staging, Lively Music, and Strong Stage Presence

AZNZ 2.0 comes with an elaborate stage set, lively musical interludes, and a technically demanding staging to Bad Rappenau. Christoph Sonntag does not just use the stage as a microphone stand with a curtain, but as a lively playing field for tempo, observation, and direct proximity to the audience. This is where his core competence lies: live, spontaneous, and with a presence that reaches even the back rows.

Known from Television and Radio

Christoph Sonntag is known to a wide audience from formats like Meister des Alltags and Verstehen Sie Spaß?. As Brother Christophorus in Das jüngste Ger(i)ücht, he combines Swabian tradition with a satirical view of politics and society. The earlier SWR3 cult comedy AZ-NZ thrilled millions on the radio and was repeatedly broadcast as a TV recording from the Porsche Arena on ARD.

Conclusion: An Evening for All Who Prefer to Laugh Live

The audience can expect an energetic cabaret experience filled with social critique, musical moments, Swabian humor, and plenty of guaranteed tears of laughter. Those who know Christoph Sonntag not only from radio and television but want to experience his full stage presence should secure a seat at the Bad Rappenau spa house on November 13, 2026.
