When research suddenly delivers the punchline: The Heilbronn Science Slam
Science can be complicated. But it can also shine, surprise, and make the audience laugh for ten minutes. At the Heilbronn Science Slam on November 28, 2026, the machine factory will become a stage for young scientists to present their research in a pointed, creative, and passionate manner.
Ten minutes for big Aha moments
Each participant has ten minutes to present a scientific topic in a clear, vivid, and entertaining way. Instead of a dry lecture, the audience can expect lively storytelling, surprising perspectives, and punchlines that even get stubborn synapses moving.
Stand-up, science, and applause as jury
The Science Slam combines elements of stand-up, cabaret, and modern science communication. It's not just about facts but also about timing, stage presence, interaction, and the ability to transform complex content into an engaging story. In the end, the audience decides by applause which contribution wins the evening.
Moderation with slam experience and beats from DJ Gorealla
The evening will be hosted by poetry slam professionals Andreas Rebholz and Niklas Ehrentreich. DJ Gorealla provides the musical background and adds extra energy to the comedic atmosphere of the machine factory with his beats. This creates a laughing experience that blends research lab, stage show, and scientific competition.
Science becomes a show
The Heilbronn Science Slam is aimed at everyone who enjoys clever entertainment, unusual topics, and audience reactions with genuine excitement. Here, curiosity, humor, and stage art come together – a combination where even complicated technical terms suddenly sound like a good punchline.
Summary: If you want to experience science differently, you will enjoy an evening full of storytelling, humor, beats, and Aha moments at the machine factory. Experience the Heilbronn Science Slam live and decide for yourself which research presentation deserves the loudest applause.
