Willy Astor brings Bad Rappenau to giggles with wordplay and music

When language does somersaults and a guitar suddenly becomes a comical sidekick, Willy Astor is not far away. With his program Reimart and Laughter Studies – Awarded as Wordfull, the musical comedian, cabaret artist, and word acrobat performs on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Kurhaus Bad Rappenau.

Word Acrobatics with Musical Depth

Willy Astor combines stand-up, music cabaret, and virtuosic guitar playing into an unmistakable laughter experience. His punchlines arise from surprising word twists, rhymes, and homonyms that connect with precise timing to create small linguistic tricks. The audience can expect not a comedy assembly line, but finely crafted word art with a musical echo.

An Evening Against the Seriousness of the Situation

Absurdity prevents the seriousness of the situation – this motto fits perfectly with Astor's stage style. Between nonsense, nuanced observations, and musical interludes, a comedic atmosphere emerges where everyday worries stay just outside the door. Astor takes the audience on a journey through linguistic wit, absurd images, and surprising leaps of thought.

From Toolmaker to Celebrated Cabaret Artist

Willy Astor was born in Munich-Hasenbergl, initially trained as a toolmaker, and worked as a mechanical technician. Since the 1980s, he has been on small art stages and has developed into a defining representative of German music cabaret. He became known through radio and television appearances, the comedy series Die Feuchtgrubers on Antenne Bayern, and the Willy Astor Show on Bavarian television.

His artistic work has been awarded multiple times, including the Ravensburger Copper Award, the Music Prize of the Bavarian Cabaret Prize, and the Jury Prize at the Great Small Arts Festival. As a composer and guitarist, Astor also sets his own accents and expands classical comedy with instrumental sound colors.

Live at the Kurhaus Bad Rappenau

The evening begins at 7:30 PM in the Great Hall of the Kurhaus. For audience reactions, Astor provides plenty of fodder: pointed verbal acrobatics, musical cabaret moments, and that stage presence that turns a good joke into a real scene. Those who love wordplay will likely take home more new terms than originally planned.

Conclusion: An Evening of Laughter with Class and Guitar

Reimart and Laughter Studies – Awarded as Wordfull promises a varied comedy evening with intelligent nonsense, musical skill, and pointed cabaret. Willy Astor shows live how much music is in language – and how much nonsense an evening can take before seriousness finally looks for the cloakroom. Those who want to experience Astor's wordplay and stage presence should mark the date at the Kurhaus Bad Rappenau.
