Dreierlei brings Klezmer to life in the Deutschhof Heilbronn

A Klezmer evening with heart, humor, and centuries-old sound tradition

With "Mir lebn eybik", the trio Dreierlei will bring an evening full of Klezmer to the vhs Heilbronn on November 21, 2026. The program combines music, texts, and songs by Jewish artists into a live experience that oscillates between buoyant lightness and melancholic depth. The trio has been working with this repertoire for over 20 years and presents a selection of its highlights in Heilbronn. Music that moves and touches

Klezmer thrives on character, rhythm, and a direct audience mood. Dreierlei capitalizes on this: Irene Zantow-Bareiß on violin and viola, Elke Knötzele on accordion, and Kerstin Müller with spoken word and singing create an evening that feels like a musical dialogue. The tradition of Klezmer stretches back centuries and has been constantly revitalized - this tension is what makes this concert so appealing. Between melancholy and (dark) humorous brilliance

The trio announces an exciting and (dark) humorous repertoire that makes Ashkenazi folk music audible in a lively form. For visitors, this creates a concert experience that not only carries musical content but also tells stories: close to the songs, close to the texts, close to a cultural tradition that still radiates strength today. A harmonious setting in the Deutschhof

The venue is the Deutschhof of the Volkshochschule Heilbronn at Kirchbrunnenstraße 12. The course takes place in room U21/DHF-Keller and runs from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The fee is 5.00 euros. The vhs Heilbronn conducts the evening as part of the Jewish cultural days 2026 in cooperation with the Evangelical Adult Education, the Catholic Adult Education, and the Friends of the Synagogue Association. Live atmosphere with history

Especially in the intimate setting of the vhs, Klezmer unfolds its special effect: the resonance of the accordion, the warm sound of the strings, the narrative presence of the voice. Anyone attending this concert experiences not a grand spectacle, but a concentrated, intense evening where musical orchestration and cultural memory intertwine. This is precisely what makes this program enticing. Conclusion: "Mir lebn eybik" promises an inspiring Klezmer evening full of expression, warmth, and fine humor. Those who appreciate music with history, emotion, and personal closeness should not miss this live experience in Heilbronn.
