Christmas magic between Pop, Jazz, and Classical
On Saturday, December 12, 2026, the Stadthalle Lauffen am Neckar will be transformed into a festive winter wonderland. At “It’s Christmas,” jazz singer Sandie Wollasch, flutist Andrea Ritter, and pianist Daniel Koschitzki will come together. The event starts at 20:00.
Familiar Christmas songs, newly illuminated
The concert connects traditional melodies such as “Silent Night” and “O Holy Night” with modern Christmas songs like “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and “River.” Classical masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Alessandro Marcello, and François-Joseph Gossec expand the program with Baroque and classical tonal colors.
Virtuoso orchestration with a jazzy pulse
Andrea Ritter and Daniel Koschitzki are known as members of the internationally successful group Spark for their cross-genre stage performance. Their instrumental artistry converges with Sandie Wollasch's expressive jazz voice. Surprising transitions, finely tuned synchronizations, and a sound that blends festive warmth with musical openness arise between Baroque, classical, and jazz.
A concert for curious music lovers
Modern compositions by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Ola Gjeilo also find their place in this Christmas program. The arrangements bridge the gap between tradition and the present and make audible how adaptable Christmas music can be. Bright soundscapes, intimate moments, and virtuoso instrumental passages shape the live atmosphere.
Strong voices and excellent musicians
Sandie Wollasch has been awarded by SWR as one of the “Best in the Southwest.” Andrea Ritter and Daniel Koschitzki are ECHO Klassik prize winners and members of Spark. Together, they create a concert experience that combines musical precision, emotional depth, and festive audience atmosphere.
Conclusion: Experience Christmas as a sound event
“It’s Christmas” brings classical masterpieces, jazz feel, and modern Christmas songs into a common musical space. Visitors can expect a roughly 90-minute concert evening full of warmth, virtuosity, and stylistic surprises. Those who want to experience Christmas outside of ordinary routines should secure their place in the Stadthalle Lauffen am Neckar.
