An Interactive Journey to the Largest Animals in Earth's History

Giants – Behemoths of the Past takes visitors on a journey through several million years of evolution at experimenta Heilbronn. The focus is on particularly large animals that lived throughout Earth's history. The special exhibition makes the dimensions of these giants tangible and connects scientific content with interactive elements.

On display are, among other things, descendants and contemporaries of the dinosaurs. This exhibition is aimed at anyone interested in the evolution of life, prehistoric animals, and the great questions of natural science. The interactive design encourages engagement with the exhibits and the depicted developmental lines.

A Journey Through Evolution

The exhibition shows how diverse animal life has been over long periods and what extraordinary body sizes have emerged. Millions of years of evolution are presented in an understandable and experience-oriented manner. The view extends beyond dinosaurs and also focuses on their descendants and other contemporaries.

At experimenta, the Science Center in Heilbronn, the special exhibition combines with a place where science is communicated interactively. Giants – Behemoths of the Past is therefore particularly suitable for families, school classes, and anyone who wants to discover natural science topics vividly.
