In the interactive workshop Playing Allowed! – But How? children aged 4 to 7 discover age-appropriate games together with a companion and gather playful media experiences. At the same time, parents receive clear guidance for a conscious and child-friendly approach to gaming.

With curiosity and joy, the children try out selected digital games on tablets. The focus is on child-friendly content, shared experiences, and a learning experience that combines fun and media education. Digital gaming is not done in isolation but is designed as a family experience.

Parents gain confidence in the media everyday life

While the children play, parents learn more about the content, opportunities, and possible risks of the gaming world. The workshop demonstrates how to recognize good apps and how families can choose suitable games for their child. The accompaniment during gameplay is also discussed in a comprehensible and practical manner.

Media education for early childhood

The event combines age-appropriate media education with quality time together. Children develop playful curiosity, attention, and initial digital skills. Parents receive impulses on how to combine safety, clear rules, and joy in discovery. The workshop is led by Hannah Wolff, media educator.

Practical information for families

The workshop takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Haus der Familie in Heilbronn. The participation fee is 5.00 Euros. A companion is part of the workshop concept. Those who own a tablet can bring it along.
