A quiet sibling drama with great inner force

With arthaus EXTRA "Sister Heart", Heilbronn on September 14, 2026 presents a film evening that does not settle for loud gestures but looks into the fine cracks of closeness, loyalty, and doubt. Sarah Miro Fischer's debut feature film unfolds its tension through observation, atmosphere, and emotional restraint.

Between apartment, silence, and loyalty

At the center is Rose, who moves to Berlin to live with her brother Sam after a breakup. What initially appears as a narrow safe space transforms into a psychological chamber play about familiarity and uncertainty. The direction relies on precise perception rather than rapid resolution, deriving its strength from this.

Direction with documentary closeness

The camera remains remarkably close to the characters, giving the drama an immediacy reminiscent of documentary cinema. This aesthetic enhances the credibility of the conflicts and makes the inner movements of the characters palpable in every scene. The direction works with quiet tensions, long looks, and a dramaturgy that allows for ambivalence.

Marie Bloching carries the emotional tension

Particularly, the film is carried by Marie Bloching, whose performance thrives on tenderness and inner tension. Critics highlight the controlled direction, the quiet tones, and the precise characterization. The result is an intense cinematic experience that engages rather than explains.

Arthaus atmosphere in Heilbronn

The film will be shown at Kinostar Arthaus Heilbronn, a venue known for years for its sophisticated programming, arthouse-oriented selection, and reliable cinema culture. The atmosphere fits perfectly with a work that rewards concentration, calm, and an attentive audience.

Conclusion
