Europe discusses its future – and young voices provide the impetus
On November 14, 2026, the auditorium of the Education Campus in Heilbronn will become a meeting point for European debates. At the public panel discussion Our Future: We Shape Europe!, young people from Germany, France, Italy, and Poland will present the first results of their joint work and direct their questions to representatives from politics.
Young people ask, politics answers
The focus is on central future issues of Europe: democracy, social media, and green growth. The event connects international encounters with political education and creates space for direct exchanges between young Europeans and political decision-makers.
The format is part of a discussion and exchange project of the Franco-German Institute that brings together young people from four EU member states. Over a longer period, the participants develop their own perspectives and proposals for the future of Europe.
Franco-German dialogue in Heilbronn
The panel stands for cross-border exchange and European cooperation. The panel includes Andreas Jung, Minister of Education of the State of Baden-Württemberg, and Brigitte Klinkert, Member of the French National Assembly and Co-Chair of the Board of the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly. The moderation will be led by Isabell Hoffmann, Director of the Franco-German Institute.
An evening of perspectives and encounters
The welcome will be given by Prof. Dr. Bärbel G. Renner, Managing Director of the Dieter Schwarz Foundation. After the panel discussion, the organizer invites attendees to a reception. This creates not only a political debate but also an opportunity for personal discussions, new contacts, and a direct exchange about Europe’s future.
Event experience at the Education Campus
The auditorium of the Education Campus offers the appropriate setting for a focused conversational atmosphere. An engaging evening is expected with passionate contributions, international perspectives, and an audience mood characterized by curiosity, a sense of responsibility, and European interest. The event will be held in German; contributions in other languages will be translated as needed.
Conclusion: Europe's future begins with conversation
Those who want to experience European politics not just from the news but in direct exchange will find a demanding yet accessible event experience in this panel discussion. Admission is free. Registration is required and invites you to actively experience the European dialogue in Heilbronn.
