Peace Requires Conflict: A Special Service in Heilbronn-Böckingen
Peace is not created by avoiding difficult questions, but through respectful dialogue. At the Resurrection Church Heilbronn-Böckingen, the celebrity sermon "Peace Requires Conflict" invites a special religious experience between faith, society, and public responsibility.
Christine Strobl in Dialogue with Pastor Dr. Jochen Rexer
As a special guest from politics, society, and culture, Christine Strobl, ARD program director from Heilbronn, speaks in the service about the importance of a culture of conflict and peaceful coexistence. In dialogue with Pastor Dr. Jochen Rexer, the event combines spiritual impulses with societal reflection.
Liturgical, Prayer, and Musical Design
The service offers space for contemplation, prayer, and communal spirituality. The celebration is musically arranged by Andreas Benz and the Elly-Heuss Jazz Band. The combination of liturgy, sermon, and jazz creates an open atmosphere where religious tradition and contemporary expressions come together.
Community Beyond the Service
Following the sermon, visitors are invited to a standing reception. The meeting over drinks and conversations provides an opportunity to deepen thoughts, listen to each other, and experience community at the Resurrection Church.
A Faith Experience for the Interested
The celebrity sermon is aimed at church members as well as those interested in church, theology, peace, and societal dialogue. The focus is on human dignity, lived responsibility, and the power of a spiritual community.
On November 8, 2026, visitors can expect a special service with a prominent preacher, pastoral dialogue, musical accompaniment, and subsequent exchange. Those who want to experience peace as a shared task will find in the Resurrection Church a suitable place for encounter and reflection.
