Young Seniors: Engaging in Discussion about Media and Responsibility
An informative afternoon with stimulating exchange awaits visitors on Monday, November 9, 2026, at the Hans-Rießer-Haus Heilbronn. The focus is on the lecture Under Control? About the Work of the Broadcasting Council at SWR by broadcasting council member Eva Ehrenfeld. Coffee and cake rounds off the senior-friendly community experience.
Insights into the Work of the Broadcasting Council
The lecture is dedicated to the work of the Broadcasting Council at Southwestern Broadcasting and thus addresses an important question of media society: How are public broadcasters accompanied, controlled, and held accountable? Eva Ehrenfeld provides insights into her work as a broadcasting council member and opens the floor for interested questions and personal thoughts.
Encounter, Conversation, and Well-Being
The event series Young Seniors combines education and social participation. After the lecture, the communal coffee round invites participants to reflect on what they have heard in a relaxed atmosphere. Conversations over coffee and cake foster closeness, strengthen social contacts, and turn the afternoon into a valuable community experience.
Senior-Friendly Afternoon at Hans-Rießer-Haus
The event takes place in the early afternoon and offers older adults an easily accessible setting for information and interaction. The Hans-Rießer-Haus in downtown Heilbronn is established as a venue for this series. The regular meetings are aimed at older individuals interested in societal, cultural, and everyday topics.
Conclusion: Sharing Knowledge and Experiencing Community
Visitors can expect an understandable lecture on media responsibility, a pleasant coffee round, and the opportunity for personal conversations. Those curious about the work of the SWR Broadcasting Council and wishing to experience an engaging afternoon in community will find a fitting occasion for social participation and personal well-being at this event.
