Pre-Christmas Ice Hockey Clash in Heilbronn
On Sunday, December 20, 2026, the first pre-Christmas game of the Oberliga Süd will take place at the Heilbronn ice rink. The Heilbronner EC Falken will host ESV Kaufbeuren in a battle for important points and want to go on another Joker hunt.
Falken with Momentum Against Kaufbeuren
The first encounter of the season was decided by the Falken with a score of 4:1 in their favor. Now, it is time for another showdown with ESV Kaufbeuren, who brings special athletic quality and experience as a relegated DEL2 team to Heilbronn. The situation promises intense duels, high speed, and tactical tension over three periods.
Pressing, Formation, and On-Ice Tension
When the teams take to the faceoff, every puck counts. Consistent forechecking, compact formations in defense, and fast transition play characterize the dynamics on the ice. The Falken are relying on the energy of their home game and aim to put Kaufbeuren under pressure with aggressive ice hockey right from the start.
Stadium Atmosphere at Europaplatz
In the Heilbronn ice rink, floodlights, crowd noise, and fan chants meet fast skating and hard checks. The arena accommodates up to 4,000 spectators and, due to its proximity to the ice, creates an intense ice hockey atmosphere. Fans experience the action right at the boards and feel every duel.
Tickets from 9.50 Euros
Tickets for the home game are available from 9.50 Euros. For adults, a standing ticket in the main round 2026/2027 costs 15.50 Euros, and sitting tickets start at 28.00 Euros. Children aged seven to 13 pay 9.50 Euros in the standing area. Children up to and including six years get free admission without a seat guarantee. Fans with a disability of 50 percent or more can purchase tickets starting at 9.50 Euros.
